DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, February 1 we will begin a new Bible Study series c
alled "Daring to Draw Near” based upon the prayers of Biblical heroes.
Jesus\, though he was God incarnate\, felt it necessary to pray.  Mark
tells us: “And rising very early in the morning\, while it was still dar
k\, he departed and went out to a desolate place\, and there he prayed”
(Mark 1:35).  And Luke states: “In these days he went out to the mounta
in to pray\, and all night he continued in prayer to God”  (Luke 6:12).
When the disciples saw John’s disciples praying\, they asked Jesus t
o teach them to pray. (Luke 11:1).  If we\, like the disciples\, want to
learn to pray then a good place to start is a study of the prayers of Bibl
ical heroes.  In this study we will focus on the prayers of…\n\nAbraha
m - How big is your God?\nJacob - What does it mean to pray through?\nMose
 s - What is your passion?\nDavid - What is blocking your prayers?\nDaniel
 - Does the Word drift over us as the world drifts by?\nHannah - Is there a
place for childlike prayers?\nJob - Are we more concerned about our reput
ation than the fear of the Lord?\nDavid - Are our prayers too narrow?\nPau
l - How to pray for others?\nJesus - Are our prayers “forgiveness prayer
 s”?\n\n \nJoin us Sunday\,February 1 at 9:15 in the cafe.\n
