The Director of Youth Ministries is responsible to oversee the leadership of all aspects of GDAC Youth Ministries, including Jr. and Sr. High, Quizzing and Youth Sunday School. 

Key Development Areas for Jr. and Sr. High:

Administrative – (50% time) – Ensuring the organization of weekly Jr. and Sr. High ministries, including Retreats and Conferences and other Jr. and Sr. High Events/Mission Trips.

Leader Development (20% time) – Ensuring a culture of leader development, “equipping the saints for works of service and maturity in Christ” is fostered (Ephesians 4:11-13). 

Vision Casting – (10% time) – Developing a listening relationship with Jesus that identifies the gifts you have received from the Spirit and the needs of our Jr. and Sr. High Ministries.  Vision casting and leading the continued development of vision for our youth ministry as part of Jesus’ vision for GDAC as a whole. 

Shepherding – (20% time) – In partnership with the church to provide a pathway for Jr. and Sr. High Students to engage in a spiritual family where they can receive spiritual care and grow in Christ. 

Other Expectations:

  • 20 hours per week
  • Report directly to supervisor (Lead Pastor)
  • Attend weekly staff meetings
  • Be up to date on Plan to Protect including current Vulnerable Sector Checks
  • Participate in worship services.
  • Be available for training events deemed beneficial by the Lead Pastor
  • If conflict arises, use guideline in Matthew 18:15-17 (talking to people and not about people).


Beginning Oct 1, 2024 and will continue ongoing.  Each year you will be subject to evaluation by your supervisor.


$20,000/per year.  Two weeks paid vacation time per calendar year.
